It is the goal of Great White Fleet (GWF) to provide World Class Service to our customers. Our documentation efforts are a large part of this service. To ensure the highest quality documentation service, we are asking your cooperation in the timely submission of your Master BOL and associated shipping documents. Please be aware, late submission of your documentation to GWF results in delays in delivery to the consignee. In addition, local customs imposes a $25.00 fine for changes made to the original Cargo Manifest which GWF presents. Among other factors which contribute to these fines, late presentation of Master BOL and/or changes to the BOL (due to shipper/forwarder requirement) result in these fines being levied. In both of these incidents, the shipper/forwarder will be held liable for payment of these fines to GWF. Hazardous materials also require special instructions for documentation. To ensure that the cargo is not delayed and that no fines are charged to our customers, GWF will implement the following Documentation Cut-Off Policy:
Shipper's Export Declaration (SEDs)Effective August 4, 2000, U.S. Service and the U.S. Department of Commerce discontinued the acceptance of facsimile copies of Shipper's Export Declarations. As an alternative to filing paper copies of SEDs, you may file
electronically through the Automated Export System. For more information on this
