    Great White Fleet, Ship Management.

    Great White Fleet manages vessels that carry cargoes on behalf of Chiquita or others and will operate them at all times in a safe, quality oriented and environmentally friendly manner. In so doing, we will meet or exceed the requirements of all applicable local, national and international rules and regulations as well as striving to meet Charterer’s requirements, including Chiquita’s Code of Conduct

    Safety, Quality and Environmental Policy

    To demonstrate this commitment, the Company maintains a documented Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System certified by American Bureau of Shipping.

    Compliance with this policy is mandatory for all employees, at all levels, both ashore and afloat. Instructions and guidelines to enable you to follow this policy are contained elsewhere in the Company’s documentation.

    Safety of vessel, life and prevention of injury to personnel and environmental protection is of paramount importance.

    The Company will provide a safe and healthy workplace, with a safety culture. The Company will identify and safeguard against accidents and pollution risks. Such risks will be eliminated where possible, and minimized elsewhere.

    Employees are selected based on training, qualifications, ability and commitment to comply with this policy. Suitable further training will be provided where a need is identified.

    While all operations will be conducted in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, employees will be prepared for emergencies by the use of continued training and drills.

    The Company aims to continually improve it’s performance. Safety, Quality and Environmental targets will be set annually, and our performance tracked and reported to enable this. Non-conformances will be handled in a manner that will best prevent re-occurrence.

     Copies of this policy are to be posted onboard all managed vessels and in our offices, and are to be made available to any member of the public who requests a copy.
